FAQs About Learning to
Scuba Dive in Two (2) Days

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a Junior Open Water Diver program available. If you are not in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water this course is not for you. Some medical conditions require written OK from your doctor before participating.

We certify divers using the DAN, EFR, MDEA, NASE, PAID, SDI and TDI, systems of diver education. All dive courses and certifications we teach are recognized worldwide.

Course Overview
Academic and Diving Theory is at home via interactive DVD/CD or eLearning online training (computer required). Eight to Twelve hours are required completing the academics.

• Confined Open Water and Open Water Sessions on Day One and Two
• Once the course is completed Open Water Certification is awarded.
• Additional Classes or Fees may be required.

Scheduled Classes
We teach scuba classes year round, our regular two or three (2 or 3) day dive and scuba classes are every weekend. Dates are available for weekday lessons. Please review our calendar at http://www.scubafla.com/calendar.html.

Course Fees*

Regular Lessons: Up to 10 persons per class (weekends only, unless 4 or more for class weekdays)

• $299.00 per person includes DVD, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card (if booked 7 days prior to class date).
• Dive computer use provided.

Private Lessons: One on one with Instructor (weekdays or weekends)

• $599.00 per person includes DVD, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card.
• $599.00 per person includes DVD, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card (if booked less than 7 days prior to class date).
• $599.00 per person per person for 10 and 11 year olds. Instructor ratio 2 to 1, includes DVD, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card.
• Dive computers available.

*Requirements and Terms

• A deposit is required for course materials/processing. Academics and forms must be completed prior to diving. Deposit applied to course fees is non refundable. If you re-schedule or cancel your class, balance of class is due.  
• Diving Quality Mask, fins, booties, snorkel. Snorkeling gear rentals available. We reserve the right to deny your use of personal non-diving or sub-standard snorkeling gear.
• One Passport Type Photo for certification card (digital photos accepted).
