Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a Junior Open Water Diver program available. If you are not in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water this course is NOT for you.Some medical conditions require written OK from your doctor before participating.

We certify divers using the DAN, EFR, NASE, MDEA, PAID, SDI and TDI, systems of diver education. DAN (Divers Alert Network) is the leader in diver safety research, CPR and diver insurance. We instruct CPR and First Aid Training using Diver's Alert Network programs. MDEA (Multinational Dive Educators Association) are sport diver training agencies. SDI (Scuba Diving International) is the fastest growing advanced recreational sport diver training agency (SDI was founded by TDI). TDI (Technical Diving International) is the world's largest technical scuba diver training agency. We are Charter Boat Training Facilities, (SDI and TDI). All dive courses and certifications are recognized worldwide.

Course Overview
Academic and Diving Theory is at home via interactive eLearning online training (computer required). Five to Eight hours are required completing the academics.

• Confined Open Water and Open Water Sessions on Day One and Two
• Additional training* and fees may be required after day Two.
• Once the course completed Open Water Certification is awarded. Additional Open Water Certification Cards available for each agency we teach.

Scheduled Classes
We teach scuba classes year round, our regular two or three (2 or 4) day dive and scuba classes are every weekend. Dates are available for private weekday lessons. Please review our calendar at http://www.scubatampa.com/calendar.html.

Course Fees*

Regular Lessons: Up to 10 persons per class (weekends only, unless 2 or more in class)

• $250.00 per person dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card (if booked 7 days prior to class date).

• Dive computer use provided.

Private Lessons: One on one with Instructor (weekdays or weekends)

• $450.00 per person includes eLearning online training, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card.
• $450.00 per person includes eLearning online training, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card (if booked less than 7 days prior to class date).
• $450.00 per person per person for 10 and 11 year olds. Instructor ratio 2 to 1, includes eLearning online training, dive gear use, wetsuit use, dives and certification card.

*Requirements and Terms

• A deposit is required for course materials/processing. Academics and forms must be completed prior to diving. Deposit applied to course fees is non refundable. If you re-schedule or cancel your class, balance of class is due.
• Diving Quality Mask, fins, booties, snorkel. Snorkeling gear can be rented from us $25.00 per person for the course. We reserve the right to deny your use of personal non-diving or sub-standard snorkeling gear.
